WE FLY, a new webseries by Diving Canada, shines a light on what makes diving such a unique sport, combining elegance, strength and guts. In 2020, discover stories of Canadian diving through six bilingual episodes about courage, family, preparation, tenacity, innovation and excellence.

WE FLY means that we tell gravity what to do and how to do it, as we defy its rules. It means ‘impossible’ is just a word to us. It means that we can achieve what others would not even attempt. It means we will not shy away from greatness. It means we are not afraid of the unknown. It means we dream big.

While the spectators are usually focused on the divers’ water entry, the slogan brings our attention to what happens when they take-off, where for a precise moment in time, they define gravity and they fly.

Caeli McKay & Aimee Wilson learned to dive and competed for Dive Calgary for many years. Caeli now represents the Pointe-Claire Diving Club and trains at the Montreal Diving Institute, while Aimee represents the Toronto Diving Academy.,

EPISODE 2 – PREPARATION

Nathan Zsombor-Murray learned to dive with the Pointe-Claire Diving Club and trains at the Montreal Diving Institute, just like Philippe Gagné and Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu, who also represent CAMO. Elaena Dick learned to dive in Edmonth and currently represents the Toronto Diving Academy.
